International Congress on Urban Landscape (ICOUL) is an international forum, open and participatory in nature, dedicated to the dissemination of strategies and instruments for managing the uses of the urban landscape for good local governance.
Without forgetting the traditional urban planning and heritage values that characterize the urban landscape, ICOUL also deals with cross-cutting aspects essential for improving the quality of urban life: culture, accessibility, heritage protection, sustainability, public health, rational use of the territory, the environment, new technologies and city branding.
Faced with the traditional option of creating more and more cities, the new paradigm of sustainable urban development represented by urban landscape management is committed to transforming the city.
In its 4th edition, ICOUL San José 2025 will focus on urban revitalization as a mechanism for transformation.
