Senior Landscape Architect
This role offers significant potential for professional development and advancement, leading on a wide variety of landscape projects for a range of private and public sector client teams.
You will have a Degree or equivalent in Landscape Architecture, MILI or equivalent, full driving licence,
excellent AutoCAD skills, circa 10 years experience with a strong emphasis on delivering projects from detailed design through to site.
You will demonstrate the technical expertise to carry out the following:
- Working as a Project Manager, project management responsibilities, including contractual, financial and programme management through design, detailing and construction.
- Establish strong working relationships with other members of the landscape team and internal teams across the business.
- Develop and manage the work of others
- Clear communication, including the ability to write concise technical reports and to contribute to conference calls, meetings and workshops.
- Be client facing and respond to client requirements

Experienced Project Landscape Architect
This role is one of a number of such positions at CSR responsible for taking forward the design, delivery and management of landscape projects. You will have a Degree or equivalent in Landscape Architecture, MILI or equivalent, full driving licence, excellent AutoCAD skills, circa 5 years experience with a strong emphasis on delivering projects through detailed design to site.
You will demonstrate the technical expertise to carry out the following:
- Landscape design projects – concept drawings to detailed hard and soft design.
- Site supervision
- Urban design projects
- Masterplanning
- Multi-disciplinary studies including participating in planning led projects.
- Technical (IT) and graphic project work
- Landscape character studies

You will represent CSR at meetings, conferences etc and assist in marketing and PR programmes.

The Role
The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will work as part of a team that plans, designs, develops and manages the public parks, open spaces and public realm of Kildare County Council. The team also contributes to the management and protection of biodiversity, climate change, planning and the overall appearance and presentation of the county and the successful candidate may be involved with these activities.

Working Hours

Remuneration
€50,909 per annum to €76,887 per annum (maximum)
€79,311 per annum (LSI 1) (after 3 years satisfactory service at maximum)
€80,498 per annum (LSI 2) (after 6 years satisfactory service at maximum)
On appointment successful candidates will be placed on the first point of the salary scale. Appointment to a higher point of the salary scale may apply to candidates employed elsewhere in the public service, subject to verification of service history.
Remuneration is paid fortnightly by PayPath directly to the employees nominated bank account. The current wage pay cycle may be revised during the period of employment. Remuneration is subject to all statutory deductions, e.g., P.A.Y.E. and P.R.S.I. Increments are paid annually subject to satisfactory attendance, conduct and performance and national agreements. Increments may be withheld if performance, attendance and/or conduct are not satisfactory.
Annual Leave
Granting of annual leave, payment for annual leave and arrangements for public holidays will be governed by the provisions of the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997 and the nationally agreed annual leave scheme for the sector. The annual leave year runs from 1st January to 31st December. The current leave entitlement for this post is 30 days.

The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will work as part of a team that plans, designs, develops and manages the public parks, open spaces and public realm of South Dublin County.
The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and standards around the provision and management of the public realm.
The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will be expected to supervise, control and carry out public realm services given to them within the service area to which they are assigned. The service areas may include, but are not limited to, Public Realm Planning, Design, Construction, Operations and Maintenance.
The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will operate under the direction of and report to the Senior Parks Superintendent / Senior Engineer / Senior Executive Parks Superintendent / Senior Executive Engineer / Supervisors of the section to which they are assigned. They must undertake those duties as assigned to them by their Supervisor. The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will also report to the Director of Service of the Section to which they are assigned, or any other person designated by the Director of Service. About you
You will have:

- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in practice (i.e. not including any years in university education), with extensive and demonstrable examples of urban design, public realm and masterplanning studies at a variety of scales from public spaces and city block through to district, citywide and regional / sub-regional scales;
- Excellent design skills and a proven ability to produce high quality masterplans.
- You will have an attractive hand drawing style or equivalent skill in quickly visualising designs for clients in 3D.

Role Description
This is a full-time (4 / 5 days) on-site role for a Landscape Technician at DRLA Landscape Architects in Limerick. The role involves tasks such as drawing using CAD, creating planting plans, and assisting with the work flow generally in the office. The Landscape Technician will collaborate with various consultants and work on a diverse range of projects, including residential schemes, urban planning, and green space design.
Qualifications
- Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge of plants and planting principles
- Strong design and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively

Model Works is an established and respected provider of Landscape/Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) services in Ireland. The company provides advice on landscape/townscape character and site development capacity, and produces LVIA/TVIA reports and EIAR chapters for planning - supported by our industry-leading verified photomontages.

The Senior/Associate candidate requires:
- Qualification in Landscape Architecture and membership of the ILI or Landscape Institute.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the GLVIA and the EPA Guidelines on the Preparation of EIAR.
- Good understanding of landscape and townscape character assessment.
- Good understanding of site planning and design.
- Good understanding of planning policy and the planning process.
- Excellent report writing, communication and inter-personal skills.
- Ability to work independently on a portfolio of projects.
- Access to a car and willingness to travel throughout Ireland for site work.
