ILI Guided Walking Tour of Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (ILI CPD Accredited Event)

6 - 8.30pm Walk through the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone and gain insights from strategic staff and Landscape Consultants who have been involved in various aspects of this project.
The event begins with a brief overview of the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone to set the context for the walking tour. The history and evolution of the Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) and its ethos will be presented i.e. a multi disciplinary approach involving a layered use of space, sustainable drainage systems, greenways and a range of open space types responding to the natural and built heritage and landscape.
The walking tour will include Tully Park, Tully Park, Beckett Park, Ticknick Park, Lehaunstown Lane Green Route, the Town Centre and Cherrywood Business Park and will provide insights into how the area has developed and continues to grow.
The walk and talk will be facilitated by Cherrywood Forward Planning and Infrastructure Team including Senior Planner Vivienne Byrne; Senior Executive Planner Tracey Flanagan; Executive Parks Superintendent Fionnuala Collins; Senior Executive Parks Superintendent Oisin Egan; Former Acting Senior Executive Parks Superintendent for Cherrywood, Sarah McCullough and Landscape Consultants involved in the design and development.

The Walking Tour will visit:
- Starting Point Tully Park Tea Rooms for refreshments at 5.30pm (see Tully Park Tea Rooms PDF below for directions), beginning the walk at 6pm through Tully Park Phase 2 and playground with a view of Domville housing, past Tully Church and burial grounds, across Lehaunstown Lane to Tully Park Phase 1.
- Tully Park Phase 1 and Primary School.
- Tully Housing 1 – SuDS, View to Druids Glen/Primary Ecological Corridor/Buffer and Linear Park.
- Beckett Park – Sporting Facilities. (Roads Infrastructure Phase 1 en route).
