Ecological Corridors: From the city to the sea by Lorraine Bull

This talk explores the importance of ecological corridors in reducing biodiversity loss and the landscape elements required to create and improve ecological connectivity within urban and peri-urban areas, as well as why we need to start looking at the broader landscape scale.

Biography 

Lorraine Bull is Executive Biodiversity Officer in Fingal County Council with responsibility for Natura 2000 sites, coastal areas and estuaries. Prior to this, she was Dublin City’s Biodiversity Officer for five years and has sat on the board of the Dublin Bay UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2019. Lorraine holds a BA in Natural Science (Zoology) from Trinity College Dublin and qualifications in Environmental and Planning Legislation.
