Climate Change Sectoral Adaptation Plan (CCSAP) for Ireland’s Built and Archaeological Heritage sector

Dear Heritage Colleague,

The creation of a new Climate Change Sectoral Adaptation Plan (CCSAP) for Ireland’s Built and Archaeological Heritage sector is currently underway, with the finalised plan to be completed in September 2025. We would greatly value your engagement to help shape the future of climate change responsiveness within this sector.

As part of consultation events coordinated by National Monuments Service and National Built Heritage Service, we are running three in person workshops in different locations. Presentations on climate change and heritage risk in Ireland and on current work to address those will be followed by workshop activities to understand current impacts and assist in formulating priorities and actions under the new plan.

The workshops are open to all, please do alert those within your networks that you know would be interested, including cross-sectoral colleagues. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

Please register via the Eventbrite links below for your preferred date/location and perhaps consider attending a regional workshop as places in Dublin may be oversubscribed.

If you are unable to attend the workshops, there is also an online anonymous survey where you can provide your perspective. In both English and Irish, the 12 questions should not take more than 10 minutes to complete.

We very much value your input and look forward to seeing and hearing from you.

Thank You
